Our Story
Meet the Attorney

Maritza Choisser
Immigration Attorney and AILA Member

I immigrated from Bogotá, Colombia, to the US under a Fiancée visa in 2008 and became an American citizen in 2012. After working as an immigration paralegal for three local attorneys and as an immigration columnist for Eco Latino Magazine, I went to Florida Coastal School of Law-FCSL where I practiced immigration law during my second and third year under the supervision of the FCSL Legal Clinics. In 2018, I obtained a Juris Doctor degree with pro bono honors and a graduate certificate in criminal law. After passing the Florida Bar in the first attempt, I became an attorney in April of 2019.
I have been an AILA member since I was a law student. I can represent clients before USCIS, ICE, CBP, and I am admitted to litigate before EOIR (Immigration Court), the United States District Court Middle District of Florida, and in Florida State courts.
I opened this firm to assist others in their immigration journey. I can offer to others my experience and perspective as a bilingual immigrant and immigration practitioner.
Obtaining immigration status is instrumental to build a new life and achieve the American Dream.
